DOCUPHASE CONTINUES TO DELIVER INTUITIVE FUNCTIONALITY AND SMOOTH PERFORMANCE.
On the heels of the 6.1 release, DocuPhase introduces version 6.2, an update to their browser-based document management and robotic process automation software. With this release, users can expect to see improvements in performance and in end user functionality.
When asked which 6.2 deliverable will be most advantageous for users, a member of the development team explained that clients employing DocuPhase’s Enterprise Automation platform will be most excited for the new integration of web forms with the work item viewer, which will allow them to view web forms and associated documents side-by-side. In addition to this enhancement, DocuPhase customers that upgrade to version 6.2 will also see improved progression entry performance, iLink updates, improved HTML5 viewer interaction with non-native file types, an iForms upgrade, a new advanced work queue, and other system performance improvement.
Overall, with this launch, DocuPhase’s goal is to increase performance time across several areas, including processing speed and the pace of document analysis.
On the performance side, DocuPhase 6.2 will provide improved process entry performance. Even when systems receive large dumps of data, they will not lag behind due to backlog processing. In these cases, items will now enter associated automated processes faster. On the user end, this increase in the speed at which processes are initiated will be evidenced by a reduction in the time between entering a document into the system and the initiation of the first user task or Bot-assigned task.
Many DocuPhase users value iLink, a tool which allows an add-on button to be placed within an existing application. Once iLink is placed, a single click of the button will launch the DocuPhase site, producing search results that are relevant to a specific value currently displayed within GP. DocuPhase users who engage with the iLink tool will see a reduction in associated CPU usage, along with more consistent screen reads.
WORK ITEM VIEWER INTEGRATION WITH FORMS
Recent user feedback prompted DocuPhase to allow forms to be displayed on the left-hand side of the interface while a user is completing a work item. While viewing a work item from the work queue, a user of version 6.2 will be able to view a relevant document on the right-hand side while simultaneously viewing a web form on the left-hand side of the DocuPhase window. By reducing a user’s need to flip back and forth between a document and a form, this new holistic view will streamline work item processing.
NON-NATIVE FILES IN THE HTML5 VIEWER
With this launch, the DocuPhase team has continued to enhance the functionality around the new HTML5 viewer, which was introduced with version 6.1. The system will display several additional archival, audio, and video file types in the new release. In addition, the download of remaining non-native file types will be streamlined. This will minimize time spent opening non-native file types.
Along with design and rule enhancements, the latest iForms upgrade will also allow for easier business rule creation, simplified testing within the designer, and compatibility with Android devices.
NEW ADVANCED WORK QUEUE
The newly designed advanced work queue easily adapts to high volumes of tasks, providing workflow users with lightning-fast search, shorter load times, and an updated interface.
SYSTEM PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS
Users will experience improvements in site navigation and overall functionality.
Corresponding with the launch of this upgrade, a sunset date has been set for Version 6.0, meaning that the DocuPhase technical support team will no longer support this previous release.
